One day, Jersey Pits rescuer Daniele overheard alarming news – a dog was trapped on a treacherous cliff! She raced over, spotting the terrified pup shaking at the rocky edge. Despite her pleas, he didn’t budge, too paralyzed by fear.
Daniele knew this wouldn’t be easy, but had to save him.
A Daring Rescue

Bravely scaling the unstable terrain, Daniele approached the petrified Pittie. But even up close, he recoiled further towards the ledge, unwilling to trust. After cornering him safely, Daniele quickly called for emergency backup.
Soon animal control arrived, managing to loop a pole around the extra cautious pup to guide him down before walking him to the shelter.

Rocky Shelter Start
At the facility, the uncertain boy just huddled against his kennel wall, shaking nonstop. With no microchip found, he legally had to stay for 7 days before foster.
Luckily, Daniele visited him every day, finally earning some tail wags during walks. At last, a couple applied to foster this diamond in the rough!

Puppy Love
At his foster home, exuberant Benny definitely struggled to adjust at first – separation anxiety, boundary issues, and general house rules were all new. He even tore up the office!
Their resident dog Sky gave Benny lots of skeptical side-eye, wondering when this rude dude would leave! Eventually though, the pups grew close, napping and snuggling often.

When Sky passed, Benny stayed by their sides, reminding them to honor her spirit by embracing life’s special moments. Their eternal bond with this thoughtful boy was now cemented for good.
