Deep in a quiet forest, a man gathering firewood heard faint cries. He followed the sad little noises through the trees. There tucked among some leaves were four tiny newborn puppies! The helpless babies were all alone, shivering and hungry without their mama.
The kind man crouched down to get a better look at the puppies. They looked only days old. Their eyes were still closed. Without their mother the four fluffy babies would not survive long. The man waited almost two hours hoping the mama dog would come back for her pups. But she never returned.

The man knew he had to help the abandoned puppies. Gently he lifted each one and placed them in a cardboard box. He carefully carried the box of puppies to his truck and rushed them home. He knew they needed food and warmth right away.
Back at the house, the man quickly prepared an area just for the puppies. He softly lined a plastic tub with clean towels. After filling some bottles with milk, he began feeding the hungry little fur-balls. Their tiny mouths sucked down the warm milk. Soon their round bellies were full.

Next the man brought over a heating pad to keep them nice and cozy. He carefully laid the sleepy puppies on the warm pad, covering them with another soft towel. They were snuggled up all comfy and safe. The new heat and full bellies made the puppies stop crying. They fell into sweet content puppy dreams in their new nest.
The man’s family was excited to help care for the four orphaned puppies. Everyone pitched in to feed, cuddle and play with them. It brought the family great joy watching the puppies grow bigger, stronger and energetic each day in their loving home.
After a few weeks, the puppies no longer needed bottle feeding. They were roly-poly little fur balls tumbling all over the place! A friend fell in love with two of the playful puppies. She happily took them home so they would always have a family.

Another week passed when a nice couple saw social media posts about the puppies. They asked if they could adopt one of the remaining two. The family hated to see the third puppy go but knew he would have a wonderful new life.
That left just one extra cute black spotted pup. The family had grown too attached to find him another home! He became an official member of the family! His silly antics and sweet puppy kisses filled their days with laughter and happiness.
The four pups may have started life off rough, cold and abandoned in the forest. But thanks to a kind stranger who took the time to rescue them, they now have warm loving homes. It just takes one caring person to change the lives of helpless animals.
