When two pups named Poppy and William were discovered wandering the streets paw-in-paw, they were barely identifiable as dogs given their extreme malnourishment and missing fur.
Unable to ignore their pitiful state, worried onlookers rushed the pooches to a local veterinarian who transferred them to an RSPCA facility for care.

Owing to their deteriorated condition, many assumed Poppy and William would require extensive treatment just to survive.
“It shatters our hearts recalling when they first arrived – having endured immense trauma, they were incredibly withdrawn and depressed. It was evident they had been exploited for breeding and likely discarded when no longer useful,” said Hannah White of the RSPCA’s Kent Isle of Thanet branch.

Indeed, the assumption was these bosom buddies faced an arduous recovery journey. However, they rapidly proved otherwise.

“Today, they are brimming with energy and utterly unrecognizable,” Hannah remarked.
Both adorable pups now thrive, fully regaining health and gorgeous fur coats.

They initially stayed with foster caregivers while recuperating but now eagerly await a loving forever home to share together.
“These two have weathered so much jointly and share an unbreakable bond – with very poor eyesight, Poppy serves as William’s guide dog and inseparable companion. We hope they’ll be adopted as a pair,” Hannah added.
