When TikTok user Rescuermg embarked on a routine errand to fetch cookies for her coworkers, she never expected her trip to transform into a rescue mission. But as she drove down the road, she spotted a box on the side of the road – with two tiny puppy faces peering out. Without hesitation, Rescuermg pulled over to investigate.
As she approached, the puppies initially shied away, wary of humans after being abandoned. But their curiosity got the better of them. One by one, Rescuermg gently picked up the puppies and settled them safely into her car, determined not to leave them behind. An instant bond was formed – these puppies needed her help.
Back at home, Rescuermg got to work nurturing the puppies back to health. Dirty and frail from their ordeal, they received much-needed baths, food, and vaccinations. As the puppies recovered in a warm, loving environment, their playful and affectionate personalities began to emerge, bringing joy and laughter into Rescuermg’s home.
As adoption day neared, excitement filled the air. Named Blondie and Brownie by their rescuer, the sisters had already found their forever home. One last vet visit to receive a clean bill of health was all that remained before they embarked on the next chapter of their lives.
Both little girls are doing great! They’re eating well, have pooped out a LOT of worms 🤢, have plenty of energy, and a lot to say! They had to have a second bath this morning since the dewormer did it’s job and they didn’t care about stepping in their mess. Oh the joys of puppy fostering am I right 😂 Puppies at their age are considered NOPOG (No Paws On The Ground) so they will have to stay in the pen, or other sanitized areas until they’ve had all their shots. This way they don’t risk exposure to any diseases spread by other dogs. I have started videoing these rescues to spread awareness of what is going on in my area (and many others) and to hopefully inspire change, and for people to help make a difference in lives like theirs. These videos aren’t for views, clout, or praise. I’ve been doing this for several years now without any of that and honestly it makes me uncomfortable. Im a low key, private type of person and attention makes me feel awkward. I’m a single mom of two boys, I work a full time job, and I make no money from helping abandoned souls like this. I know seeing some of the things I’ve posted is hard, but I want folks to see my reality. I hope they see these videos and are inspired to reach out to their local rescues and offer to foster, or donate time and money to their life saving efforts. These shepherd mix girls will be going to a licensed rescue in Wisconsin in a few weeks once they’ve had some more vetting and get a health certificate from the vet to cross state lines. Though soon to part ways, Blondie and Brownie cherished their remaining days together, their unbreakable bond a testament to the shared hardship of their early days. As they now venture forth on separate but bright paths ahead, we wish these rescued puppies a future overflowing with love, comfort, and happiness – just as they deserve.
We went to the vets this morning to get their health certificate, saying they’re healthy enough to cross state lines 🥰 Blondie did not enjoy the scale (same girl, same), and Brownie tried to jump off the table several times so she could go explore some more. They both enjoyed all the attention they got 💕 they leave Friday for their new foster home, who has already puppy proofed her house, and set up their new digs (separately because Brownie is turning into a bully 🥲). As stated in some comments on previous videos, they will be adopted out separately, due to littermate syndrome. It doesn’t happen all the time, but the main goal is for happy forever homes, and they do not want one, or both returned, because they continue to fight. This can happen with puppies close to the same age as well, not just littermates.
