Yet, that is precisely what transpired when a starving, disheveled pup approached his vehicle, its desperate eyes pleading for help.
Faced with the heartbreaking sight of the dog’s emaciated frame and sparse fur, the kindhearted driver knew he had to act. Posting a plea for assistance on social media, he remained by the pup’s side until the team from Rescue One, an animal shelter in Springfield, Missouri, arrived to take the pup into their care.
